Run customer-facing AI agents on WhatsApp Business with the safety stack that lets you deploy publicly: PII redaction, content guardrails, capability gating, and full audit history.
Four steps. Defaults are conservative — you can broaden later.
Bring your existing WhatsApp Business Account (WABA) and Business Solution Provider (BSP) credentials, or use Tech Ringer AI's hosted BSP path for the simplest setup.
WhatsApp's verification process (business profile, phone number, message templates) completes through standard Meta channels. We help you prepare the artifacts.
Define the proactive message templates the agent can send (per WhatsApp Business policy). Reactive responses to user-initiated messages don't require templates.
Start with a narrow use case — booking confirmations, order status, FAQ deflection. Scale as the audit log builds confidence.
Customer: "What's the status of my order #12345?"The agent looks up the order in your connected system (with read-only capability), responds with sanitized order details, and logs the interaction with customer attribution.
WhatsApp Business is one of the highest-trust messaging platforms in the world — it's also one of the most heavily regulated by Meta, with strict rules about message templates, opt-in handling, and user privacy. We built the WhatsApp integration with those rules as load-bearing constraints, not afterthoughts.
PII redaction is especially valuable here. When a customer sends an order number, an email, or a phone number to your AI agent, the redacted version is what reaches third-party LLM providers — Meta's privacy expectations and yours both stay satisfied. The original message is preserved in your audit log for compliance review.
Capability gating matters more on WhatsApp than on internal platforms because the audience is public. We default to read-only for any new WhatsApp deployment. Write actions (booking, ordering, refunds) require explicit per-tool enablement, and we recommend approval-required flows for high-stakes actions.
Yes — WhatsApp Business requires a BSP. You can bring your existing BSP credentials, or use Tech Ringer AI's hosted BSP path (simpler setup, slightly higher per-message cost). Both options work; the choice is mostly about who handles WhatsApp's verification paperwork.
Reactive responses to user-initiated messages are free-form within the 24-hour window. Proactive messages outside that window require pre-approved templates, which you define in Tech Ringer AI and we submit to Meta for approval. The agent automatically picks the correct mode.
No. We don't train models on customer conversations — across every plan, every audience, every chat platform. PII is also redacted before any third-party LLM provider sees a tool result.
Yes. Input guardrails, URL safety scanning, PII redaction, capability gating, and audit logs run identically here as in the dashboard and on every other integration. Adding a chat platform doesn't expand your security surface area meaningfully.
Disconnect the integration from the dashboard at any time. That revokes the OAuth grant (or removes the bot from the platform, for non-OAuth platforms), all in-flight agent sessions stop, and any future invocations from that platform fail closed. The audit log of past activity stays accessible.
