Bring Tech Ringer AI into Teams as a tenant-scoped app. Per-user capabilities, audit logs that satisfy your IT review, and integrations that already speak Microsoft 365.
Four steps. Defaults are conservative — you can broaden later.
Generate a Tech Ringer AI app manifest from your workspace settings. Submit it through your tenant's app catalog or install directly if you have admin rights.
A Microsoft 365 tenant admin approves the app once. Permissions are listed explicitly — no broad-org consent required.
Default read access for connected Microsoft 365 services (Outlook, Calendar, OneDrive). Write actions stay off until explicitly enabled.
Try `@Tech Ringer AI summarize this channel's recent updates` in a Teams channel or DM the bot for a personal chat.
@Tech Ringer AI summarize the last 20 messagesPosts a sanitized summary back to the channel with PII redacted; the request and result land in your IT-visible audit log.
Microsoft Teams sits inside the Microsoft 365 trust boundary, which makes integration both easier (M365 identity is already established) and more sensitive (one misconfigured scope can reach Exchange, SharePoint, and OneDrive at once). We install as a tenant-scoped app with permissions listed explicitly on the consent screen, and we segregate Microsoft 365 OAuth tokens from the Teams bot tokens so neither side leaks into the other.
Tech Ringer AI's Microsoft Graph integrations (Outlook, Calendar, OneDrive, To Do) work out of the box once a user connects their account — but write capabilities for those tools stay off by default even after Teams install. If a user has 'Outlook read' on but 'Outlook send' off, the agent can summarize the inbox in Teams but can't send mail without a separate explicit toggle.
Teams is where most enterprise pilots end up. The IT review is more rigorous than Slack, and the audit log matters more — both because compliance teams will ask, and because Microsoft 365 is usually the highest-value identity layer at the customer.
Yes. You can restrict the Tech Ringer AI Teams app to specific tenants via the standard Microsoft 365 admin controls. We also support per-tenant configuration of which Microsoft Graph capabilities are exposed to the agent.
Yes. Even though the install is tenant-wide, per-user capability gating lets you restrict who can use which tools and which write actions are allowed. Combine with Teams' channel membership controls for fine-grained scope.
No. We don't train models on customer conversations — across every plan, every audience, every chat platform. PII is also redacted before any third-party LLM provider sees a tool result.
Yes. Input guardrails, URL safety scanning, PII redaction, capability gating, and audit logs run identically here as in the dashboard and on every other integration. Adding a chat platform doesn't expand your security surface area meaningfully.
Disconnect the integration from the dashboard at any time. That revokes the OAuth grant (or removes the bot from the platform, for non-OAuth platforms), all in-flight agent sessions stop, and any future invocations from that platform fail closed. The audit log of past activity stays accessible.
