Add Tech Ringer AI to your Discord server. Slash commands, mentions, DMs — all with content guardrails, capability gating, and the kind of audit log a community moderator actually wants.
Four steps. Defaults are conservative — you can broaden later.
Generate an invite URL from your Tech Ringer AI dashboard. A server admin approves the bot's permissions on Discord's standard authorize screen.
Choose which channels the bot can read and post in. Read-only is the default — posting requires an explicit toggle per channel.
Set content category restrictions, age-appropriate defaults if your community includes minors, and per-role capabilities.
Use `/techringer help` in any enabled channel. Mentions and DMs work too.
/techringer summarize this channel's recent messagesPosts a sanitized summary back to the channel; PII redacted, server moderators see the safety event in the audit log.
Discord communities are usually more open than Slack workspaces — mixed-age audiences, anonymous handles, frequent moderation challenges. We built the Discord integration with that reality in mind: every input passes through the same input guardrail pipeline that runs everywhere else (heuristic filter, LLM guardrail, URL safety), and PII redaction protects users who didn't realize they were sharing identifiers in a public channel.
Per-role capabilities let server admins say things like 'mods can use write tools, regular members can only read.' Per-channel rules let you set 'this AI is on in #help but off in #off-topic.' And content category restrictions adjust the bot's tone and refusal threshold based on the community profile — a tabletop-RPG server and a coding-help server get different defaults.
Discord is also where most family-AI use ends up: parents who run home Discord servers for their kids and want a safe AI integrated. The same per-child capability model that's in the dashboard works here — link a Discord handle to a child profile, and the AI behaves accordingly.
Yes. Each Discord server installs the bot independently and gets its own configuration, audit log, and capability gates — but they all roll up to your single Tech Ringer AI tenant for billing and dashboard review.
We default to conservative content rules and refuse to enable write tools (send DMs, create channels, etc.) without explicit per-server opt-in by an admin. For communities that include minors, age-appropriate guardrails apply automatically when child profiles are linked.
No. We don't train models on customer conversations — across every plan, every audience, every chat platform. PII is also redacted before any third-party LLM provider sees a tool result.
Yes. Input guardrails, URL safety scanning, PII redaction, capability gating, and audit logs run identically here as in the dashboard and on every other integration. Adding a chat platform doesn't expand your security surface area meaningfully.
Disconnect the integration from the dashboard at any time. That revokes the OAuth grant (or removes the bot from the platform, for non-OAuth platforms), all in-flight agent sessions stop, and any future invocations from that platform fail closed. The audit log of past activity stays accessible.
